BEN JACOBS

PROSPECTIVE STAFF - SW METRO AREA REP | BJACOBS@FCA.ORG

Ben is originally from Michigan and moved to Minnesota after graduating from college, where he competed in cross country and track & field as an avid distance runner. He, his wife (Laura), and family now live in Minnetonka, MN. He graduated from Cornell College with a BA in Education and Kinesiology and from the University of West Virginia with a Master's in Sports Management. He has been coaching runners, both youth and adults, for over 10 years. His ministry work has focused on youth with Sunday school, youth group, Vacation Bible School, and later became a leader with an FCA hockey group where God continued to work on his desire for ministry.

Ben joined the Minnesota FCA staff in 2021, serving as the Area Rep for the Southwest Metro. "As an athlete, I know our identity can be tied to the sport we compete in. I hope to help athletes see their identity in Jesus Christ. It is important to me that my children, their peers, and future generations are given the opportunity to know and study Christ while feeling supported in these endeavors." Ben has a heart to come alongside coaches and athletes in their walk with Jesus to help them to follow Christ in all aspects of life.
