The Area Director is responsible for growing FCA by praying and staffing the area through ministry, talent, board and donor advancement. The Area Director works with staff and volunteers to fund and steward the finances of the ministry.

The Area Director, in collaboration with the Field Vice President, local staff, and Board(s), will fulfill the FCA vision and pursue the FCA mission by creating and sustaining the vision-based staffing plan for the assigned geographical area. As the primary spiritual leader for the ministry, the Area Director models the FCA values in all relationships by demonstrating a steadfast commitment to Jesus Christ and His Word through Integrity, Serving, Teamwork, and Excellence.

The Area Representative serves a local geographic area by engaging, equipping, and empowering coaches and athletes to fulfill FCA’s mission.

The Area Representative, in collaboration with the Director and local Leadership Board, implements and sustains the vision-based staffing plan to grow the FCA ministry to and through coaches in both on-campus and off-campus sports environments within their assigned ministry context.

This position falls under the umbrella of the Regional Director of Donor and Board Advancement but works closely with the Minnesota State Director, State Leadership board and staff focusing on donor development in Minnesota.

• Responsible for building a pipeline of potential partners through researching and prospecting with a focus on major donors ($5,000/year).
• Promote Minnesota FCA’s giving options at every level possible using creative and marketing skills.
• Oversee a process to maintain accurate and detailed donor records.
• Expected to spend a substantial amount of time outside of the office building mutually beneficial relationships with corporate partners and individual donors.
• Understand implications, processes and benefits for the different avenues of giving options.
• Develop and implement a plan to connect, communicate and care for individual and corporate donors.
• Develop and execute major donor experiences.
• Participate as a member of the Minnesota team in regular FCA events, meetings, retreats, etc.
