SCOTT SMITH

As a business & ministry leader, teacher, and coach for nearly four decades, Scott has been involved in ministry as a layman, elder, full-time pastor and church planter. He came to know Christ through the ministry of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) as a high school student-athlete at North Scott High School in Eldridge, Iowa. There he participated in football, baseball, and track and field. He competed at the D1 collegiate level as a decathlete at the University of Northern Iowa.

Scott currently serves as a new church developer, planting Faithful City Church in St. Cloud. An ordained pastor (ARP-USA), he is also a chaplain to the Minnesota State Patrol and the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office. As part of his outreach ministry and because of his lifelong love for coaching, he is an assistant coach at St. Cloud Tech High School in both boys’ soccer and track and field. 

He is passionate about the platform of athletics to communicate the life changing message of the Gospel and using that platform to multiply disciples of Christ. As an FCA Ambassador, his vision is to catalyze new FCA huddles for both coaches and student athletes on campuses throughout central Minnesota.
