Read along with us as we share some camp takeaways from campers, parents, coaches, and volunteers that are sure to warm your heart and make you smile.

Southwest MN FCA hosted 300 campers, 94 huddle leaders (high school and college kids), 22 coaches, and 45 volunteers from across Southwest Minnesota at Jr. Sports Camp this year. Wow!

We are blown away by God's faithfulness to provide campers, coaches, and volunteers for this event year after year. Praise the Lord for 14 years of FCA Camp here in Southwest MN!

Thank you for your support, your encouragement, and your prayers.

Huddle Leader Comments (high school - college):

"Jr. Sports Camp is the most exciting part of my year!"

"Being able to connect with the campers and share my testimony was not only impactful for them, but for me as well."

"My favorite part of JSC was helping and encouraging kids to learn more about Jesus and watching them laugh and smile throughout the day."

"I really enjoyed connecting with the campers in my huddle."

"The highlight of the day was seeing everyone worship together and praise God!"

"A highlight of camp was seeing the kids take the lead in group prayer during the final games of Dog Patch. After observing and listening to their huddle leaders in the first couple rounds, they were equipped and empowered to give it a try themselves."

Camper Comments (3rd-8th graders):

"I learned a lot about God at camp this year!"

"I loved the energy of camp!"

"My favorite part of camp was worship!"

"Camp strengthened my relationship with Jesus."

"I loved meeting new friends!"

"God was there during worship!"

"The speaker was great!"

"I loved my huddle leaders!"

Parent Comments:

"My daughter and her friend had a BLAST at their first Jr. Sports Camp. She wiill be coming back and recommending this camp to her friends!"

"I had two kids attend camp for the first time and they LOVED IT!!! They both had such positive things to say about all of the fun that happened at camp and said they can't wait to come back again next year!!"

"One of the things I love most about dropping off and picking up from camp is watching all the huddle leaders. This camp gets high school and college aged kids to sing, dance, cheer, and talk about their faith openly. In a demographic that can be extremely self-conscious about what people think of them, Jr. Sports Camp gets teens to live outloud joyfully.

Thank you for sharing Jesus, making faith fun, and helping kids figure out their faith journey!"

Coach Comments:

"Every year I volunteer at Jr. Sports Camp I am overwhelmed by the amount of amazing young athletes who are invested in their faith journey. Jr. Sports Camp draws outstanding huddle leaders from across Southwest MN who willingly share their faith and what it means to them through sport. I am so blessed to be part of such an inspiring and faith filled day."

"Each year there are a great variety of sport options offered for campers to choose to build on existing skills or branch out and learn a new sport! Seeing the number of kids that show up to Jr. Sports Camp has been a highlight for me the past couple of years. Each camper is welcomed with excitement by their huddle leaders as they check in for the day! I'll keep coming back to JSC because the skills and lessons learned at camp are memorable."

Volunteer Comments:

"It was neat to see the FCA campers so excited to worship the Lord in song, jumping and singing the lyrics with their whole hearts. After an inspiring keynote message, the auditorium became completely silent, while each camper was quieting their heart to spend some sweet time listening to the Lord. I felt Him moving at FCA camp especially during this quiet time."

"I had so much fun getting to experience camp for the first time while simultaneously sharing the gifts and talents God gave me. The Lord blessed me when you asked me to help bring your ministry vision to life."

"Volunteering at Jr. Sports Camp's Dog Patch Olympics was an absolute blast — the students were so competitive, full of energy, and completely on fire for Christ! It was incredible to witness their passion for both the games and their faith!"

Volunteer at JSC, it's a beautiful way to serve and a great way to engage, equip, and empower kids in the name of Jesus!
