"We decided to start the Huddle within a month after this initial phone call. Typically, we take much longer to train before launching, but felt that God was leading us to start much sooner," said Dave.
The Huddle met at a local church weekly, and had a team of 4 student leaders that stepped up to lead their peers. Carson Sharp, who serves the North Branch community as an FCA Area Rep, poured into these students from the beginning, training them how to make disciples who make disciples.
Fast forward to a month ago, Dave and Carson met with the North Branch High School Administration to inquire about having the Huddle meet on campus. The principal previously had witnessed the impact of FCA on a community he was previously a part of, and saw the impact first hand that FCA had on that community. The principal was excited to bring FCA to North Branch, hoping for that same impact - praise God for the way he orchestrates things!
The last few weeks, the Huddle has been meeting in a teacher's classroom. The Huddle has been exploding with interest and has grown three times the size since being able to meet on campus! The teacher that opens her classroom told us she had been praying for the last 5 years to have a ministry happen in her classroom. This was an answered prayer and she is beyond excited to lead the North Branch FCA, along with a few parents from the North Branch community.
