Chip Simmons is a seasoned chaplain and mentor with a deep passion for serving athletes and communities. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, he spent years working within the Phillies Baseball organization before stepping into sports ministry. From 1997 to 2000, he served as Assistant Chaplain for the Philadelphia 76ers and Eagles, while also leading as the Urban Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in Philadelphia.

In 2001, Chip moved to Colorado to lead FCA’s Urban Ministry in Denver, creating a space for inner-city youth to grow in faith through Bible studies and community events. His influence later extended to college ministries, including the Colorado School of Mines, where he helped establish a thriving athlete-led faith community.

Chip’s impact in professional sports is extensive—he served as team chaplain for the Colorado Crush for five seasons, spent four years as Chaplain for the University of Colorado football team, and another four years with the Denver Broncos. His ministry has reached teams nationwide, including Arizona State, Temple University, William & Mary, Bowling Green, Nebraska, Western State, and CU, as well as the San Diego Chargers.
